In the village of Ayllu de Coyo, located 11 km from San Pedro de Atacama, we will meet the ancestral culture of the Atacameños or Lickan Antay who have inhabited the desert for thousands of years. Over the generations, they have learned to live in the driest place in the world and discover its fascinating secrets. On this excursion, Wildo, our guide, will introduce us to the history of his family and the productive activities traditionally carried out by this ancient indigenous people. We will learn about corn and alfalfa crops, animal husbandry and other tasks typical of an Atacameña family.
